Inductive touchpad for 300series

A simple inductive touchpad for direct connection to a 300series Consumer Water Meter for remote reading.

For low cost remote reading of meters installed in less accessible locations, the Flownetix Touchpad can be connected to any 300series meter and read with a simple Flownetix reader. This reader connects to any PC, laptop or handheld PC through a standard serial port. Simple reading software is available from Flownetix for Microsoft Windows, Pocket PC or CE and can be customised to a utility's requirements for data formatting, storage, downloading and processing.

The touchpad itself is passive and driven by the Flownetix 300series meter directly so can provide data from the meter such as:

• Meter reading
• Meter serial number
• Peak flow since last read
• Current flow rate
• Last 12 months readings
• Meter self test status and diagnostics
• Battery condition
• Time stamping

Application Software

Suitable for Windows CE and Pocket PC devices, the reader software controls the touchpad reader and stores the data for each meter read. This data can then be downloaded to a billing system or other database using a docking station or internet connection.
